One of my favorite songs :)
I plan to sing this to Carsen so that the message really sinks in for him, maybe become his life motto. Matt caught me humming/singing this in the shower last night (embarrassing :) )

My favorite lines:
You can go to extremes with impossible schemes.
You can laugh when your dreams fall apart at the seams.
And life gets more exciting with each passing day.
And love is either in your heart, or on it's way.
34 Weeks! I can't believe we have only 40 days til his due date: baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like an average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

That last part does make me feel MUCH better. Matt was born at 34 weeks and was only 5lbs, but thankfully so because apparently there was a problem with his placenta and he might not have made it full term (my miracle man!). My cousin was also born at 34 weeks, before my aunt had even had a baby shower. And my colleague had her daughter at 33 weeks and has just an awfully hard story about the neonatal care she needed. So... while the odds are only about 10%, it does happen to some people. I'm just really hoping he stays in until near his due date.
This week, I'm looking forward to our childbirthing class on Saturday. I just hope we feel more prepared after that.
